The melting process in industrial furnaces requires significant oxygen and fuel consumption, in addition to compromising the durability of the refractory. This generates high operating costs, wasted energy, and frequent replacement of the refractory lining. Halogen improves furnace efficiency, reducing energy consumption and extending the lining's lifespan. Results: -Decreases batch time by 30%; -Reduces energy costs by 30% due to the acceleration of the reduction process in a rotary kiln; -Reduces fuel and liquid oxygen consumption by equal proportions; -Increases refractory lifespan by up to 55% by reducing the effect of periclase wear; Reduces lead loss levels in the slag due to increased reactivity.
Description:
This powder enhancer is used to accelerate the reduction of lead oxides and sulfides into metallic lead. It also increases the amount of metallic lead removed per batch due to its enhancer properties in capturing contaminants.
Simple Application:
- Separate 2% (by mass) of Halogen from the load;
- Place 50% of the load in the bay, add the halogen (2%), add the remaining 48% of the load, and mix the ingredients well;
- Load the furnace with the entire load;
- Remove the lead tip at 70% of the normal process time.
Note: The product must be thoroughly mixed with all the ingredients used in the furnace.
Dosage:
Average dosage of 2% (by mass) or 20 kg of product for 1,000 kg of load.
Appearance:
Dark powder. With a slight odor.
Packaging:
30 kg plastic bags.
Storage:
Up to 24 months in a dry, room temperature location.
