FLUX for lead refining, used in the tin and antimony removal process. Benefits observed with its use: - Increased amount of refined lead at the end of the process; - Improved yield by generating dross with a higher concentration of tin and antimony; - Significant reduction in production costs due to increased yield; - Equipment preservation, increasing the durability of refining crucibles; - Superior lead quality due to degassing agents.
Description:
This is a powdered flux used to remove tin and antimony. The dross obtained after cleaning with this flux has tin contents of 8% to 18%, depending on the initial concentration. The amount of dross generated is approximately 5% to 10%.
Simple Application:
- After copper removal; - Temperature 650°C to 690°C; - While stirring, add 1 kg for each ton of lead; - Continue stirring throughout the process until the Sb content reaches 0.05%; - Finish with soda; - Clean to remove suspended microparticles with NANOLIMP; - Done!
Dosage:
Average dosage of 0.1% (by mass) or 1 kg of flux per 1,000 kg of lead-based alloy.
Appearance:
Grayish powder. With a slight odor.
Packaging:
20 kg plastic bags.
